In an extremely anxious and stressful scenario Liz absolutely put not only my mind at ease but my partner and mums too. Professional, sincere, honest and genuine I felt like myself and my baby were in the best hands.

Thank you for your kind feedback, and for taking the time to comment on your experience. I am glad I was able to put you, and your family, at ease. Clear, honest explanations can be very helpful in reducing anxiety at a stressful time for patients. I hope you are recovering well from your delivery.

Dr liz Kingston came to see me before I was getting taken to theatre to put a cannula in and she looked after me while in theatre. She was lovely and explained things so I would understand and didn’t rush at all and made me feel very at ease. She had a lovely manner. She also came and seen me the next day to see how I was getting on and to make sure I was getting the right pain relief. I would highly recommend her to anyone, she is one of the nicest anaesthetist I have had.

Thank you for your very kind comments and feedback. I am glad to hear I was able to put you at ease ready for your surgery, and that you would be happy to recommend me to others. Post op visiting is really beneficial for me as a professional to check how effective my care has been, to ensure you have enough pain relief, and to allow me to adjust the care I deliver in future for patients. Best wishes for your recovery.

I have nothing but praise and thanks for Liz. I attended the women's hospital for an elective c section. I have additional needs and they were all met with dignity and compassion. Everything was explained beforehand and I was reassured throughout the whole surgery. Even the few problems we encountered was handled quickly. Even the after care was brilliant to make sure I was ok. Thanks Claire

Following a 30 hour labour and with some concerns for mine and my baby’s welfare I had to have an emergency Caesarean section. I had never been in hospital before, let alone had surgery, and was particularly frightened along with very concerned for my baby. Prior to and during surgery Liz was extremely supportive and said all the right things. Her manner was calm and reassuring whilst being transparent about what was and would be happening. She effectively calmed me down and when my daughter was delivered I was in a far better frame of mind in order to absorb the occasion. I could not be more grateful to her during that difficult time.

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback. It is helpful to know that being transparent about what was happening in theatre was reassuring and allowed you to feel calmer during your surgery. I'm glad to hear this improved your birthing experience, and hope you are now recovering well.

Response from Dr Liz Kingston

I'm glad to hear I was able to reassure you during your care and that you felt safe. It's really normal for people to feel nervous, and often a bit of explanation or distraction goes a long way to smoothing things out. Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback for my practice, and I wish you well for your recovery.
